The machine and the softwareThe machine and the software

I’m Bill Kishonti, a fluid-power & controls engineer who also ships production software. I design the systems that move machines, and the applications that run businesses.

The engineer

20+ years in hydraulics, pneumatics and EPLAN/PLC controls design. CFPHS-certified fluid-power specialist. Designing real systems where precision and reliability aren’t optional; they’re the whole job.

The builder

Full-stack product development: React, TypeScript, Node, Postgres, Stripe. A portfolio of live SaaS products designed, built and shipped end to end.

The journeyThe journey

From moving machines to shipping software.

1994

Fluid Power diploma, Centennial College

Fluid Power Automation & Robotics Technologist (3-year + 1-year co-op). The foundation: hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC controls.

1994–2015

Controls & automation across industry

Fluid-power and controls design at ABB, Husky, Trinamic and more: multi-million-dollar OEM welding & press systems, PLC programming, robotics and safety circuits. CFPHS-certified (2001).

2015–2025

Senior Controls Designer, Fluid Power

Pneumatic, hydraulic and water systems for automated welding lines; VBA-driven design tooling that cut errors ~30% and design time ~25%.

Now

74mph Solutions: full-stack product studio

Turning decades of automation into software. Hurricane for AutoCAD (10,000+ users) plus production SaaS: HomeJet.ca, CalcuPad, ShoutSpot.me.
